All words and music written by Max Jared:
I want to tell you,
that I miss what we had, what we had.
I want to tell you,
that I miss what we did, nothing.
You could be the one, that I hold onto,
Grow under the sun, I will love you,
When you’re flopping down- it will be funny,
I’ll be short and round, A perfect story
I wish you’d tell me, that I miss your hands,
And the way you dance
I want you to whisper in my ear,
“I want to take you down right here,”
And then you do it
My world’s falling down, without you in it
Breaking is the ground, and my heart with it
Won’t you turn around,
and look me in the eye?
And never cry
It’s so cold outside, but I’m feeling warm in my bed
Others are hopefully living ok, under the stars shining.
Wondering if I am the mind of the world,
And if others feel the same
Our generation will soon be the world
So what kind of change comes with it?
It’s so easy, to forget,
while others are suffering, you don’t feel restless
This is the way, our world is
So far apart we live
-that we forget, we’re not alone.
But I won’t let it, happen,
You can’t let this happen
Don’t you realize, we’re all from the same tree.
We all suffer, the same, realities
Of life, and thus, celebration too.
I’m counting rings, and wondering:
When will we grow?
I won’t wait, like JM sang
The winds blowing strong, with the opportunity, to change.
It’s so easy, to forget,
while others are suffering, you don’t feel restless
This is the way, our world is
So far apart we live
-that we forget, we’re not alone.
But I won’t let it, happen,
You can’t let this happen
Sitting on a porch, outside
Looking deep into your eyes
Feeling, so tired, of such painful ways
Please tell me, you want to change
Don’t you see, how you’re affecting me? (x2)
Look into, my eyes, and tell me you’re going to love me
Love me right now.
Look into my eyes, and tell me you’re going to love me,
Love me, like you did
It’s just me and you, there’s no one else around
Trust me to, help you till the ground,
And this ring tells me you will, too,
But I’m waiting to hear it, hear it from you.
Don’t you see, how you’re affecting me? (x2)
Look into, my eyes, and tell me you’re going to love me
Love me right now.
Look into my eyes, and tell me you’re going to love me,
Love me, like you did
Come out and touch me, hold me in your arms,
Feel my heart beat, want to beat with yours.
Life is so fun, I do not know,
Where I’ll end up, its part of the show,
And it’s the best one we’ve got.
Players in plays, dramatic ways
Episodes of sadness
Coupled, with happiness too
And it all stems from you,
Isn’t that the truth?
Days will go by, and I wonder, If I’m
Do this right- This thing called life.
All these questions: what is our worth?
Why are we here? How should I use my, time while alive?
So many things I could have been,
Lifetimes worth of memories,
And places, that I’d like to go,
But please bring me home
Days will go by, and I wonder, If I’m
Do this right- This thing called life.
Is this life? She said,
I replied “I don’t know, but I know that we’re not dead” (YET)
And it seems, as we go down the path of destruction
The wheels are in motion, humanity to broken
I can’t seem to see any change, in our world
Can you be, more naive?
Cuz I see, poverty, around the world
We must respect one another,
Even the trees as our brothers
How do our actions reflect,
The teaching that we’re all connected?
We’re all connected (x3)
But don’t worry, we’re still young
This is my call, my call to everyone
To remember, we’re all human
And change the world, yea you can do it (x4)
We must respect one another,
Even the trees as our brothers
How do our actions reflect,
The teaching that we’re all connected?
We’re all connected (x3)
I feel the world thinks I’m one-sided
But I just do not see.
I’ve got so many things I think about,
That I can hardly breathe.
You introduce yourself to me, you know immediately,
That I’ve got so much I’ve got to speak
But I’m not blowing hot air,
I’m just coming from ‘round here
And saying what I believe, what I believe
I may be hiding form demons that battle up inside my head,
But at least I wear my morals on my sleeve.
Better that than what you do, you keep your thoughts locked in a room,
And never let them leave.
You tell yourself that you’re okay but you don’t live that way
And as the digging gets deeper you feel so insane,
That you talk about everything, yet you say nothing
Chorus: As the days go by, I’m developing each side
Figuring out what feels right, just living life.
Whatever way its suppose to go
I’m on this flow cuz I got mojo pumping pistons in my engine,
And the words that I use come with the greatest intent,
To open the world’s eyes, while at the same time mine,
As we slowly recognize we’re all connected.
I’m trying to strengthen my life, and strive to unify,
The broken pieces of the world both out and inside.
But I’m only one human being, so you gotta be with me,
And together we will unify.
Unify, Unify, Unify
Unify is what I said, best get it through your thickening head
Cuz if we don’t join together we’ll soon be dead.
And I’m fed, up, with the way that it goes.
Evolve! Into another mankind,
One that recognizes all life, as an important piece of existence,
And everything that we do, in everything we need to survive,
Feel Alive! Do what you do to be you,
Celebrate your life, before you find that it’s through,
Or soon you’ll lie, with people that didn’t choose to use their time for good.
